The protests against the Dakota Access Pipeline (2017)

Over the course of 2016, many people, mostly Native Americans, united in a common fight against the arrival of the Dakota Access Pipeline in North Dakota. Just north of Canon Ball, ND, they set up the Oceti Sakowin and Sacred Stone camps. In January 2017 I visited these brave people and wrote down their stories.
